‘Titian Muhibbah’ Art & Culture Exchange Indonesia-Malaysia Art Exhibition 2023

The "Titian Muhibah" project signifies the evolving relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia, two neighboring countries embodying a reflective and responsive dynamic. This narrative will be conveyed to the public through an exhibition entitled "Antara: Extended." The theme, "Tetangga Satu Rumpun," serves as a symbolic conduit, mirroring the deepened cultural bonds between Indonesia and Malaysia. Through a reciprocal exchange, the exhibition aims to engender a meaningful dialogue that surpasses geographical boundaries, fostering mutual understanding and appreciation.

The exhibition is hosted at the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics in Kota Tua, Jakarta. Over the course of a month, art enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a diverse and vibrant array of fourteen Malaysian artistic expressions. While acknowledging two-dimensional works, the project aspires to transcend traditional boundaries by spotlighting installations and new media arts. This approach underscores a commitment to showcasing innovation and pushing the frontiers of contemporary art to new heights.
