DiME2024: Digital Marketing Knowledge Helps B40 Entrepreneurs in Tumpat District

TUMPAT, 8 August – The DiME2024 Program (Series 4) took place successfully on 9th July 2024 with 32 participants attended the latest series at Senangin Beach Resort and Training Centre, Tumpat, Kelantan. The selected participants are small entrepreneurs from Tumpat district. This collaborative initiative is the result of a joint effort between the Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM) of the State of Kelantan, and the MASMED Unit of UiTM Cawangan Kelantan. This program offers comprehensive digital marketing training aimed at increasing participants' income. In addition to valuable training, participants receive a certificate of participation and equipment assistance to improve their business operations and management.

The Income Generation Study Program among B40 entrepreneurs (DiME2024) is an initiative to increase the income and living standards of the poor through the application of digital marketing knowledge. Acknowledging the importance of digital marketing, especially in business development, DiME2024 aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the modern business landscape. The facilitators appointed for this program are lecturers from UiTM Cawangan Kelantan with diverse backgrounds, ensuring participants receive comprehensive guidance and a variety of perspectives on digital marketing, including technical skills, marketing strategies, and business management. Among the modules that were taught are basic knowledge about zero marketing, financial management, how to build effective content and copywriting as well as how to operate LIVE on Tiktok. In addition, the participants were exposed to the basic knowledge of business in Islam as well as effective motivation to become successful entrepreneurs. This program has been able to give participants not only the skills to succeed in business but also the confidence to pursue their dreams in life. By leveraging digital marketing, DiME2024 aims to create a community that is resilient and are fully able to get out of the poverty line fulfilling the main objective in the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) which is to eliminate poverty in the community.
