Official Visit of The Senior Management of Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati, Indonesia (UGJ) and The Signing of MoA Between UiTM and UGJ

MACHANG, 28 August – A delegation comprising four senior executives and eight students from Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati, Indonesia (UGJ), conducted an official visit to the Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Kelantan (UiTMCK) on the 21st and 22nd of August 2023. The team received a warm reception from UiTMCK's top leadership, including Prof. Dr Haji Abdol Samad Nawi, the Rector of UiTMCK, and three Deputy Rectors overseeing Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Research, Industrial Linkages & Alumni. Additionally, the Liaison Officer from the Department of International Affairs was present.

The visit's primary objectives included the formal signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoAs) pertaining to the Summer Camp and International Community Service Program, collaborative initiatives, and visits to various income-generation projects within UiTMCK. Notable figures from UGJ's senior management included Dr. Cita Dwi Rosita, M.Pd., Vice-Rector for Collaboration, Publication, and Promotion; Dedi M. Siddiq, Ph.D., Head of the Research Department; Dr. Editya Nurdiana, Head of Promotion; and Dr. Roghibatul Luthfiyyah, Head of the Office of International Affairs. Accompanying them were eight students who had recently completed the Summer Camp program, a collaborative effort between Akademi Pengajian Bahasa (APB), the College of Creative Arts (KPSK), and the Cultural Unit of UiTMCK.

During discussions, the UiTMCK leadership and the UGJ delegation delved into the specifics of forthcoming collaborative endeavors. These encompassed joint research projects, engagement of academic staff and students, agroindustry initiatives, entrepreneurial programs involving students, alumni, and the community, as well as community service activities.

Parallelly, the delegation received a comprehensive overview of UiTMCK's income-generating ventures. This included insights into successful projects such as the Bukit Ilmu Pineapple Farm, the Ginger Planting Project, the White Oyster Mushroom Project, the Kemuning Serunding Project, and the KB3D Art & Heritage Centre. These initiatives, efficiently managed by UiTMCK, have yielded commendable financial outcomes. With mutual benefit in mind, the visit aimed to foster enhanced collaboration between the two universities. The hope is that such interactions will lay the foundation for even more ambitious joint projects in the foreseeable future.
