The unit also hosts a wide range of sports events throughout the year, including Inter College Sports Carnival, Inter-Faculty Sports Carnival, 'Hari Sukan Negara', Internal Championships, Karnival Sukan Mahasiswa UiTM (KARiSMA), Karnival Sukan Staf UiTM (KARiSTA), and invitation tournaments at state and national levels. The Sports Unit also contributes to the university's reputation by achieving remarkable success in sports.

The Jawatankuasa Sukan Pelajar (JSP) or Student Sports Committee is a student organisation that plays a significant part in supporting the Sports Unit.  JSP plays a role as a sports volunteer, covering aspects of leadership, technical crew, contingent secretariat, team assistant, and sports management. The Sports Unit also provides internship opportunities for students, allowing them to gain practical experience in sports management, event coordination, and athletic development. The program welcomes students from diverse academic backgrounds and aims to offer hands-on learning and enhance professional growth.
