DiME2024: Empowering B40 Participants in Bachok District Through Digital Marketing

BACHOK, 21 July - The Income Generation Study Program among B40 Participants (DiME2024) is an innovative initiative to improve the income and living standards of the impoverished people through digital marketing. Recognizing the transformative potential of digital tools, DiME2024 is committed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the modern business landscape. The facilitators appointed for this program are lecturers from UiTM Kelantan Branch with diverse backgrounds, ensuring that participants receive comprehensive guidance and various perspectives on digital marketing, including technical skills, marketing strategies, and business management. The modules provided practical and applicable knowledge, ranging from foundational entrepreneurial principles to advanced digital marketing strategies. By integrating religious values with business practices, offering crucial financial management tips, and exploring modern marketing techniques, the program ensured a holistic learning experience.

There are 5 series of programs that have been conducted so far.

  • Kota Bharu (Series 1) on 5 March 2024
  • Bachok (Series 2) on 6 May 2024
  • Gua Musang (Series 3) on May 27, 2024
  • Tumpat (Series 4) on July 9, 2024
  • Jeli (Series 5) scheduled on July 25, 2024.

The DiME2024 (Series 2) program was successfully held on May 6, 2024, with 27 participants attending at the Dewan Unit Sumber dan Teknologi Pendidikan (USTP) Badak, Bachok, Kelantan. The selected participants are small entrepreneurs from Bachok area. This collaborative initiative is from the collective efforts between the Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM) of Kelantan State, and the MASMED Unit of UiTM Kelantan Branch. The program offered comprehensive digital marketing training aimed at increasing participants' income. In addition to the valuable training, participants received certificates of participation and equipment assistance to enhance their business operations and management.

The program has already made a significant impact, providing participants with not only the skills to succeed but also the confidence to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. By leveraging digital marketing, DiME2024 aims to create a resilient and self-sustaining community in Bachok, ultimately breaking the cycle of poverty and driving long-term economic growth.
