Akademi Pengajian Bahasa (APB) UiTM Cawangan Kelantan (UiTMCK) is responsible to fulfill the needs for English and the third languages (Arabic and Mandarin) at various faculties at both Machang and Kota Bharu campuses of UiTM Cawangan Kelantan. It comprises two departments namely Department of English Language & Linguistics and Department of Asian & European Language.  At present, APB UiTMCK consists of 39 full time lecturers.  They are complemented by part time lecturers as and when necessary.

The post of Language Coordinator  was created at all campuses in 1985 to coordinate the teaching of language courses in the whole system of UiTM. The name was changed to Head of Language Unit in 2011 and later to Head of Learning Centre for standardization purposes with other faculties. With the help of a few coordinators taking charge of their respective portfolios, Head of APB ensures smooth functions of language teaching as part of the programme curriculum of all faculties in  UiTMCK.
