The Infostructure Department is the department that  responsible for managing the ICT facilities at the Machang campus. Initially it was under the Administration Division, but from June 2009 this unit was placed under the management of the Academic Affairs Division. Before it was known as the Information System Unit (USMT). From 2014, this unit is known as the Information Technology Unit (UTM) and is under the management of the Rector's Office. In line with the changes in Shah Alam, where the name change to Infotech Office also took place, where it was known in 2014.

Then in 2018, once again there was restructuring at the Main campus, where it was changed to an Infostructure Unit. In 2022, through the State Executive Committee Meeting (JKEN) UiTM Kelantan Branch Bill 38/2022 on 29 March 2022 has approved an application to improve ICT governance of the Kelantan Campus by upgrading the Infostructure Unit to the Infostructure Department  in line with the decision of the University Executive Council Meeting (MEU) Bil .16/2018.

The following are the functions that have been agreed by the management of the Infostructure and Infrastructure Development Office (PPII) Shah Alam. It is consistent for all branch campuses.
